Royal Decree 1890/2008 on energy efficiency, in its specific lighting section, already determines that in the additional lighting at pedestrian crossings, whose installation will be a priority at crossings without traffic lights, the minimum reference of illuminance required on the vertical plane will be 40 Lux, with a G2 anti-glare in the direction of vehicle movement and G3 in the direction of the pedestrian.
CROSSWALK luminaires feature a range of optics specifically designed for this application. This makes them an ideal choice for illuminating pedestrian crossings, regardless of their position in relation to the direction of traffic flow. They also offer a choice of colour temperatures to help make the pedestrian crossing more visible, depending on the colour temperature of the surrounding lighting. Optionally, the CROSSWALK column incorporates a sequential amber vertical signal flasher, which makes it easier to spot pedestrians, thereby reducing the risk of accidents.
The HORUS-CROSSWALK system combines a cylindrical column made of galvanised and thermolacquered steel with an LED luminaire, featuring lenses specially designed to provide additional lighting for pedestrian crossings.
- There is no need to adjust the luminaire, as the lens itself directs the light towards the pedestrian crossing
- No glare, as the light is directed exclusively towards the pedestrian crossing
- Lower installed power, thanks to the efficient distribution of light
